It’s been a bit more than a week since the blobtown was open to the public and lots happened…

Anyhow, In a few days, precisely next monday, the 16th of June, @7pm, there is going to be a discussion between Greg and Eric Owen Moss at the gallery. About what? of course, on our blobtown.

Admission: FREE!

Anyone in LA area.. should go listen to what these architects say about this, it shall be quite interesting.

Let me introduce you to the brand new blobtown!!!!!

 

So it’s been a couple of days since the opening day, which I would say pretty a successful one. Especially, little kids loved it and everyone just wanted to climb on it and sit on it.

Yesterday was a LONG LONG day, like any other days I guess.

Remaining cut bricks at Machineous got delivered to the gallery early in the morning, so only job that’s left to do is to build the pavillion and cleaning up the mess. Surprisingly more people than usual were helping out the assembly team. 

Greg dropped by late afternoon to see how it’s coming together. 

Now that the wall is taller and top has to be connected, it is a bit more difficult for the blobbers to put those bricks together.

Look who got caught working all by himself tonight? 

 

 

 

 

So here’s current status of the Team Assemblage:

1. People disappear. (What else is new…)

2. Three out of Five soldering irons busted. 

3. Lots of patching work needed.

4. Scaffolding action much needed at this point; we just hope that when all the bricks are connected our blobwall stays up!

As of today, after 16 days at Machineous, cutting team’s work is DONE! All the bricks have been cut. Awesome work cutting people!
